The Parrot

Ethan has been repeating everything he hears lately, and I mean everything.

This is how our morning went:

Mommy: "Ethan, can you pick up your toys please?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin pick up toy ease?"

5 minutes later
Mommy: "Ethan, do you need to go potty?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin, mommy need to potty?"

10 minutes later
Mommy: "Ethan, please don't mix the clean laundry with the dirty laundry."
Ethan: "Nin-nin, mommy ease put lean lawn wit.."
He stares at the dirty laundry for a minute.
Ethan: ".. what's that? Ew, gross lawn dory? Yes, Nin-nin, that ew gross lawn dory."
He nods satisfactorily at himself.

30 minutes later.
Mommy: "Ethan do you want a sandwich for lunch?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin want sam cents hunch?"
Mommy: "Is that a yes?"
Ethan: "That yes?"
Mommy: "Daddy, do you want the left over pizza?"
Ethan: "Ohee, want left pizza?"
Mommy: "Ethan, please stop repeating everything I say."
Ethan: " Nin-nin ease pop peasing things mommy say"
Mommy stares blankly at Ethan.
Ellexa laughs hysterically as if she understands.
Mommy feels Newbie kick rapidly as if he understands as well.

  2. So... Why is it your two-year-old son cannot speak like a proper two-year-old? And why is it you felt the need to make a blog about your children when, besides being unable to speak properly for children their age, act like every other kid? Your kid really isn't anymore funny or anymore special than any other person's kid, deary.

  3. @Charlie Why do you feel the need to put down someone for doing something she felt like doing? Why do you have to criticize everything? Why don't you go somewhere else if you don't enjoy reading these posts? Read the first blog post, and you'd understand why there's a blog.

Why don't you have the balls to keep the original post, "Andrea"?

  4. Andrea / Charlie,

Thank you for insulting my child who has a speech delay. It's really nice to know that someone else benefits from a disability my child is working so hard to overcome.

This blog, as stated in the first entry, was created to share the stories with my family and friends across the country. Like me, they are proud of my son for coming as far as he has in his speech development. If you don't like what you read, there's a big red X in the right hand corner of your browser and I suggest you use it instead of belittling me or my children.

  5. Also, Andrea deleted her comment since I know her by the name Andrea and commented again as Charlie, thinking her previous post wouldn't be emailed to me.
