Sorry for the lack of entries lately; the last week has been hectic! Now we'll be preparing for the arrival of the California grandparents (mommy's parents) in a few weeks. Ethan has been very excited, as we keep telling him that Grammie and Grandpa are coming. The last time they visited was when Ellexa was born in March.
Occasionally, we let Ellexa hang out in her playpen naked to "air out" from wearing a diaper all the time. Today was one of those days. Ethan was watching Blues Clues and hadn't noticed Ellexa being put in the playpen. When he did notice he covered his eyes and said "Tissy no mants! MOMMY! Tissy ew gross baby no mants!" After laughing I said "She'll have her diaper back on in a little while. You don't have to look at her if you don't want to." He disappeared into the playroom for a minute, came back to drop a diaper in the playpen, then resumed watching Blues Clues.

The Parrot
Ethan has been repeating everything he hears lately, and I mean everything.
This is how our morning went:
Mommy: "Ethan, can you pick up your toys please?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin pick up toy ease?"
5 minutes later
Mommy: "Ethan, do you need to go potty?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin, mommy need to potty?"
10 minutes later
Mommy: "Ethan, please don't mix the clean laundry with the dirty laundry."
Ethan: "Nin-nin, mommy ease put lean lawn wit.."
He stares at the dirty laundry for a minute.
Ethan: ".. what's that? Ew, gross lawn dory? Yes, Nin-nin, that ew gross lawn dory."
He nods satisfactorily at himself.
30 minutes later.
Mommy: "Ethan do you want a sandwich for lunch?"
Ethan: "Nin-nin want sam cents hunch?"
Mommy: "Is that a yes?"
Ethan: "That yes?"
Mommy: "Daddy, do you want the left over pizza?"
Ethan: "Ohee, want left pizza?"
Mommy: "Ethan, please stop repeating everything I say."
Ethan: " Nin-nin ease pop peasing things mommy say"
Mommy stares blankly at Ethan.
Ellexa laughs hysterically as if she understands.
Mommy feels Newbie kick rapidly as if he understands as well.

Whips and Snake Skins
Ethan was running around with the charger to my netbook, yelling "Whoopsh!" I asked him "Ethan, what are you doing with that? Give it to mommy." Ethan looked at it and said "What's that? A whip?" No clue where he learned the word whip.
-------------
I have a inch long, half inch wide burn on my arm. Ethan noticed it and yelled "EW! What's that? A snake skin?" He's only mentioned snakes once or twice, and never mentioned their skin before.

Welcome to the Poole house!
It's a party every day in the Poole household. Our family currently consists of mommy, daddy, Ethan (age 3), Ellexa (age 9 months) and we're expecting E#3 in March 2011.
Ethan is quite the jester and has inspired us to keep track of all the funny things he does or says. Recently, Ellexa has begun interacting with her brother and it has brought upon even more hilarious events. While most of our stories have been shared with friends and family via Facebook, they will now be shared in this blog. Hopefully you'll enjoy the stories, pictures, and videos as much as we do.
